About Me

As a career counsellor, I am committed to guiding students towards their college admission goals. By offering personalized attention to this transformative journey, I want my students to be confident and proudly proclaim, “The world is my oyster.”

With an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, I worked at Citi Group in New York, USA, and spent fifteen exciting years in entrepreneurship and consulting. My passion for college counselling ignited when I began assisting friends and family with career guidance and college applications.

Thereafter, I established CollegeEdge, an admission consultancy boutique firm in Kolkata, India and got a certification in College Counseling “With Distinction” from UCLA Extension to further enhance my skills.

Having gone through the college application process for myself and my children, I empathize with the concerns and struggles that students face during this pivotal period. I create a safe space where they can freely express their dreams, aspirations, and concerns. By listening to their unique stories, I help them craft compelling essays that authentically reflect their voices. Having lived abroad, I have a deep understanding of the socio-economic aspects of the college application process and provide unique insights to students and families.

My training enables me to shape students’ applications by identifying their unique strengths and interests thus building their profiles to secure admissions to top-tier universities.

As an entrepreneur, I approach the counselling role with a networking mindset, leveraging my connections in various industries, colleges, and professional organizations to provide students with valuable opportunities and guidance in their chosen fields globally. Citi has exposed me to diverse paths towards creative and professional success. I guide students to effectively highlight the skills of effective communication, teamwork, and leadership in their applications.

I am their trusted advisor and my heart fills with joy to see each student thrive and reach their maximum potential.
